His first appearance was in the video game *Star Wars: The Old Republic* in 2011, specifically within the Jedi Knight storyline. He is portrayed as the Jedi Master training Satele Shan and the player character.
Kao Cen Darach played a pivotal role during the Sacking of Korriban. He bravely defended the Jedi Temple from a surprise attack by the Sith Empire, buying precious time for others to escape. Tragically, he was killed during the defense, sacrificing himself against the Sith Lord Vindican and his apprentice, Darth Malgus.
